Can’t believe someone like Raul will make an argument like this. Fund managers don’t sell their holdings at the end of the year to show the performance. It’s the market value of the holdings at the end of the year that demonstrates their performance without being sold off
I do disagree with the cyclical part of this story. Network adoption yes, cyclical analogs, no. Who in their right mind would compare the uptick of an ultra tiny market in 2013 and then a somewhat bigger (but still relatively tiny) market in 2017 with the size of the existing market? Bullish on crypto but not this kind of technical analysis.
big picture, very much onboard with Raoul. Also agree with max pain theory. Interesting to see how that will impact the crazy high numbers predicted by Raoul this year for BTC and ETH. What's not being discussed is the impact of 'financialization' of both BTC and ETH. I watch BTC futures every day and I can already see intraday take downs, similar to what we have already seen in the gold market for the past 20 years. Just saying there is a real risk that the paper markets overwhelm the spot market here and it's not being discussed by anyone on Realvision.
