Bitcoin was not designed not to be regulated. If you want regulation invest in a Mutual fund.
Allowing for every party to know how much everyone owns, it allows for barganining/negotiation problems and allows for price gauging.

If we imagine crypto in the future we think is coming where it's a world wide currency used by all then we will need some type of mixer. Otherwise, anyone will be able to know exactly how much money everyone else has. Your neighbors, your friends, family, and every criminal in the world. Wallets can't stay anonymous for long if they are being used. I doubt Mr. Wonderful will appreciate everyone knowing exactly how much he has in his wallets down to the dust.
