one huge issue with PoS is that you can't secure assets that is worth a lot more than the ethererum market cap (think if you wanna tokenize Apple on ethereum.. bad actors don't need much relative to Apple's worth to mess with it)… also PoS favors ppl with more coins and you could end up with billionaires/governments buying lots of it up and still encouraging the 'more money is more power/control' bs regime.. not healthy for humanity going forward. imo Avalanche, Hedera, Flare have the potential to eat ethereum's lunch.

Now your talking true. Sorry but with all the other layer 1’s out, ETH, AVAX, ADA, BNB, I want to say SOL but they having issues, so XRP definitely not gonna get 2nd in market. Maybe top 10 once they are able to be sold and bought again and law suit is done.
only people who always made money during the gold rush were the ones selling digging tools. and youtubers are like them in this crypto rush.
Issue i have with Ethereum is that it needs Layer 2 to scale to overcome its own limitations. To me this is a big red flag. Even if Ethereum goes to proof of stake, sharding, will it have addressed issues of scaling, security, forking, cost. If i know these issues have been addressed and there is a good read, video on this – then i am all in.
