A Coin is native to it's own block chain, token runs on another Blockchain
A COIN has its own blockchain. A TOKEN is built on an already established blockchain. ETH is a COIN. Tokens that don't have their own chain but are built to run on the Ethereum blockchain are cakes ERC20 tokens. Another example would be the TRX coin. Tokens on the TRON blockchain are called TRC20 tokens. Get it?
