They dont want to go to Eth Classic because they will make FAR less ROI. I saw a study that if all the miners switched to Eth Classic there would be less compute to spread around, so the "problem solving" would be spread out further and they would mine far less. The Classic network can handle it just fine, there is no cap on compute on the blockchain. Its all about their bottom line end of story and competing against all the other miners on a smaller network than they are on now.
I watched until the end but I didn't understand much.
