Bitcoiners from around the world recently met with Madeira’s President to discuss the possibility of developing a Bitcoin strategy for the autonomous region. The group met with the President, the Finance Minister, and Energy Ministry representatives to discuss the benefits that Bitcoin could bring to Madeira’s economy. They also interacted with locals to better understand their perspectives on bitcoin and the opportunities it could bring. Follow the Bitcoiners on their journey to attempt to persuade the President to adopt a Bitcoin strategy and learn what the people of Madeira think.
For the first time in its history, Madeira is not bound by its geographic location and can fight in the same global arena as all other jurisdictions. It’s the government’s goal to introduce Madeira as a worldwide reference for the new digital future, and the aim is to make our archipelago a leader in technology and quality of life.
