They either didn't think this through properly or they are doing it just for Fed regulation compliance.
Appchains was the theme of 2013-2014, it didn't work out for a number of reasons, many of them not even mentioned in the episode. People that don't know the history will repeat it.

it's encouraging such products can experiment with jumping ship while the users can choose to not take the risk and stay on the old version. That's a new liberty for financial protocols and their users.
This needs more views.
Based on Antonio's lack of knowledge in some of his answers, I think he bit off more then he can chew. Some of the problems he intends to figure out in the future are really difficult problems to solve. We will see how this experiment play out, but I would be very surprised if he was able to launch all this in the next 6 months. I would go so far to say, I would be surprised if this works out for him at all.
