"Market capitulation"? Maybe you meant "market capitalization."
I don't think there is such a metric as market capitulation. Unless that's a term for how much value an asset has lost during a bear market. The current market cap (capitalization) of Bitcoin is indeed a little over $500 billion.
I do think Cardano/ADA can potentially overtake both Ethereum and Bitcoin, for exactly the reasons Hoskinson said. I have no idea WHEN such a thing might happen though.
