Splitting finances makes sense when you've been burned badly by a divorce; keeping things separate, a good prenuptual agreements and co-habitation agreements is t he only way to protect yourself. Your spouse can turn on you in a split second – no one who ever got married thought their spouse would screw them over until it was too late.

I'm with you George. My wife and I have had combined finances since we got married 20 years ago and it's so much easier. I've always thought that for a couple to keep their finances separated it means they're hiding something. 🙂
